Paya Shahr Group (Payashahr) is an architecture practice based in
Bushehr, Iran, established in 2012 — working across
architecture, interior design,
landscape design, project supervision, and construction, over a diverse range of
building types and scales.
The name pairs Paya (enduring, lasting) with Shahr (city) — an
intent to build for the long term.
Its expertise spans architectural, interior, and landscape design for residential,
office, commercial, healthcare, and villa projects. Beyond design, the practice
takes on the supervision and execution of the work it builds —
holding continuity between design intent and its realization.
It works across scales, from small residential apartments to hotels,
commercial complexes, and urban parks, engaging a wide spectrum of
architectural, urban, environmental, and contextual challenges.
The approach is rooted in an idea Paya Shahr calls designing in the present for
tomorrow — looking to the future while respecting the heritage of the past.
Grounded in Bushehr, a city shaped by its climate, culture, and
architectural traditions, the practice reinterprets vernacular architecture and
turns the region's environmental and cultural character into contemporary design:
spaces responsive to their place, yet relevant to what comes next.
For Paya Shahr, architecture is a continuous dialogue between past, present,
and future — drawing on local knowledge and heritage to create sustainable,
meaningful, and contemporary environments.
